Friends of Wetlands (FOWL) announces Marsh Madness, a wetland celebration in honor and observance of National Wetland Month – Saturday, February 4, 2012, at 6 – 10 pm at Sachsenheim Hall, 7001 Denison Ave., Cleveland, Ohio..
Bringing together the environmental community and those who share a concern for our waters and wetlands FOWL is hosting a night of friendship, entertainment and revelry. We have folk legend, Tim Wallace to entertain us with his original acoustic music and Will Reding, the “Ramblin’ Naturalist” will present his wetlands interpretations in the character of The Marsh Mallow Man.
Friends of Wetlands will be announcing the spring schedule of our citizen science program Marsh Monitoring, done in collaboration with Bird Studies Canada. In addition we will announce a new non-profit to benefit wetlands in Ohio.
Registration before January 27th is $25, $30 at the door and includes a one year membership to FOWL. For registration and details see events.fowl.org
Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Contact ray@fowl.org for details.

Not to be picky but February 2 is “World Wetland Day”. 41 years ago the Ramsar accord was signed, creating a global entity to study, promote and protect wetlands. It is better known outside the U.S.
Thank you, Ray. Picky in the pursuit of accuracy is a virtue.
