SUNDAYS IN THE MARSH
The free programs listed below originate at the Mentor Marsh Nature Center, 5185 Corduroy Rd in Mentor Headlands unless otherwise noted. 2 to 3:30 PM.
Programs will be held in all but severe weather, so please come prepared for the conditions.
Bring your own field guides and binoculars if you have them. We have some to lend.

July 3: Wake Robin Wanderings What’s happening along the boardwalk at Mentor Marsh? Let’s see what’s blooming, scoop for pond critters and investigate the area around the Wake Robin Trail. Tools provided.
July 10: Naturalist’s Choice
July 17: Summer Blooms Let’s see what’s blooming in the heat of summer. We’ll check out the native landscaping outside of the Nature Center and out in the marsh.
July 31: Lagoons Hike Meet at the Mentor Lagoons City Nature Preserve Trailhead (8365 Harbor Dr.) for a walk at the western edge of the Marsh.
August 7: Naturalist’s Choice
August 14: Songs of Summer—Birds & Bugs Let’s get out and discover the summer sounds around us. Start with listening to a CD of songs to familiarize ourselves with the calls and songs of summer, then hike and listen.
August 21: Fields and Forests Let‘s explore the prairie and forest to see what’s active and blooming. Insect nets provided.
August 28: Lagoons Hike Meet at the Mentor Lagoons City Nature Preserve Trailhead (8365 Harbor Dr.) for a walk at the western edge of the Marsh.
