This is so refreshing I almost don’t mind the hot spell we’re having.


1/3 c fresh lime juice

1 c plain low-fat yogurt

1/3 c honey

2 c purified water

1 tbls pure vanilla extract

1/8 tsp ground cloves

1/ tsp ground nutmeg

14 oz canned light coconut milk

1/8 tsp ground cinnamon


Mix ingredients except cinnamon in a bowl.   Chill for 2 hours.   Pour into glass, sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.

Because I consider recipes only suggestions, even from the venerable Dr Weil, I added 1 1/2 tsp of pure almond extract and then beat the mixture with my hand blender before serving.

For the cocktail set, I’d add a shot of Kahlua or white rum.
