THOUGHTS ABOUT SNOPES: NO ROOM AT GROUND ZERO FOR HEROES

I’m trying to make sense of the decision, trying to understand motivation.

In truth, the ceremony & observation Sunday would make an ideal target for terrorists.  And we’d be poorly served if all our first responders were wiped out with the rest of the crowd.

Also, thieves, murderers, arsonists could have a field day of their own mayhem if they could count on police & firefighters to be at Ground Zero.

But.

If there were logical planning behind the decision to eliminate first responders from the ceremonies, what possible harm could have come to anyone had the “deciders” explained their motives to the public?

I may be giving them too much credit by even attempting to find a thoughtful, measured consideration behind the decision.
