MENTOR, OH –Celebrate World Wetlands Day by taking a hike in our region’s largest wetland, Mentor Marsh. Join us for a naturalist-led hike and program on February 5 from 2-3:30 p.m. Mentor Marsh Nature Center is open to the public the first Sunday of the month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. over the winter.
Wetlands are beautiful year round. Explore wetlands displays and hands-on exhibits at the Nature Center and then we’ll hike into our wonderful, winter wetland looking for signs of the season. Bring your own field guides and/or binoculars if you have them; we’ll have some to lend, too. Meet at the Mentor Marsh Nature Center at 2 p.m. Following the hike, hot drinks will be available for program participants at the Nature Center.
Mentor Marsh Nature Center programs are family friendly and all are invited. Activities will be held rain/snow or shine. Trails may be muddy this time of year, so please prepare and dress for the conditions. Reservations are requested. For questions or to make a reservation, please contact the Mentor Marsh Nature Center at 440-257-0777 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
