         Wednesday   Apr 18  3 PM     Take Control of Arthritis & Diabetes Forum      Arthritis and diabetes have several common features, including inflammation and the risk factors of age and weight.  While arthritis does NOT cause diabetes and diabetes does NOT cause arthritis, more than half of the people with diabetes also have arthritis. 

Learn about both diseases from Kelly Donahue, Program and Public Awareness Manager for the Arthritis Foundation, Great Lakes Region, Northeastern Ohio and from Daniel C Finkenthal, RN, BSN, BA Nurse Educator, Diabetes Partnership.

         Thursdays   Feb 2-April 7   9 AM-3 PM     Income Tax Assistance with AARP Volunteers     Trained Volunteers will assist in the completion of state and federal income tax forms.  They do not assist with city tax.

If you are getting a refund and would like Direct Deposit, bring a check with the routing number and account number to your appointment.

         Monday   May 7   8 AM-12 PM    AARP Driving Safety Program      Licensed drivers 50 or older can take this class, designed to refine existing skills as well as develop new, safe defensive driving techniques.  You may earn a certificate and possibly qualify for lower auto insurance rate (check with your agent). 

Bring your driver’s license and AARP card to the first class.  Bring a sandwich or snack if desired.  Cost:  $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-AARP members.  Check or money orders only made payable to AARP.  #20151
