MENTOR MARSH: EAGLES UPDATE, APRIL 4, 2012

This just in from Becky Donaldson, Mentor Marsh Naturalist:

Watched one of the bald eagles in a perch tree to the south of nest yesterday for about a half an hour. Watched it preen a bit and was hoping to see a nest switch or feeding, but no luck this time!

No motion spotted in nest, but it sure is hard to see in there-there’s not a super vantage point! Put the scope on the nest from both Williams and Headlands Roads and can’t see that bird in the nest.

Hope it’s hunkered down on eggs or nestlings…trying to keep them warm! Let us know if you are seeing anything!
